This is the motion tween technique I have used for a game character design. This is process is very useful because the animation layers can move very smoothly and it doesn't have long to make.
This is the pen tool (P) in
Adobe Illustrator, this is a really good tool for creating your own shapes.
You simply click on
the pen tool and then on the page click in the direction you want the shape to
form. It can be difficult first time but it is easy to get used to.
This is the shape Tool and this it is very useful for making perfect shapes if you are not comfortable making your own shapes. You click on the shape tool and hold down the lick so you can choose what shape you want.
Once you have chosen the shape you want you then click on the page and drag to get the right size you want.
This is the arc tool in Adobe Illustrator, this is for making 90 degree curved lines. This tool is useful for creating your own circular shapes and you can use your imagination. To use this tool go down to the segment tool which is the seventh tool down, click and hold then you will see the arc tool.
To use it, click on the page and drag, it will change angels depending what direction you move your mouse. At first it can be complicated but you should get used to it very quickly.
This is the 3D tool and this tool allows you to make you work look fantastic. what ever shape you choose it will allow you to turn it into 3 dimensions. To use this tool you just click Effect, scroll down to 3D then you have a chose but the most simple is Extrude and Bevel.
When you click that your shape will turn 3D but make sure that both colour choices are different otherwise your shape won't look 3D.
This is the eyedropper tool, which is in Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator. This tool is for making sure that what ever it is you are creating the exact same colour is applied to certain components. To use this tool you simply look for the tool which is the 15th tool down.
once clicked, like were the colour is you want to copy. The by default it will go straight to fill tool the you just fill the area you want painted and there you go.
This is the Brush tool, it is one of the most common tools on every programme. The paint tool on Flash is the best. To use the click on the brush tool which is the 11th tool down. When clicked, at the bottom row of tools you can choose how big you want your brush.
When clicked simply draw with it as normal. The best thing about the bush tool on Flash is that if you are using a mouse to draw with and your lines are a bit wonky the line will be almost perfectly straight when you let go on the mouse. But if you are too wonky it won't do the same.
The paint bucket is another common tool used in many programs, it is also one of the most easy to use. Simply click on the bucket tool which is the 14 tool down.
Simply click on the tool and make sure that you got the colour you want, then click were ever it is you want filled.
This is the text tool, which is also a common tool used in every program. Click the tool with the letter T which is the seventh tool down.
Once clicked, click on the page where you want the text to be and then double click and then you will be able to start typing. To change the font and size, click the text which is at the top of the screen and then you will be able to choose. And to change the colour of your text, double click on the text, highlight it and then choose you colour by clicking on the colour tool with the bucket next to it on the right.
This is the Free Transform tool in Flash. This is a very useful tool for moving very specific objects. To use click on the too which is the 3rd tool across and the click on the exact bit you want to move.
Once clicked hold down the click and drag and you will see the out like of the piece you have moved, this to show to if you are moving the right piece. Also, there is something else which is really useful. If you were to accidently move the wrong piece, simply click back on the piece you have moved and drag it back to were it came from. When you do that it will position itself into the right place.
